Charles Henry FÖLSCH (son of Édouard Gustave FÖLSCH VON FELS and
Rose Lea Bruguiere) He was born July 17, 1827 in Marseille Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France.

From 1842 to 1846 Charles Henry studied at Uppsala where he is staying at the Baron Von Kroemer governor of the city.
Back in Marseille late 1846, he worked in his father’s trade from home but must liquidate a result of a reversal of fortune in 1875.

Merchant admistrateur the savings drop in 1868, consul of Sweden, Norway and Denmark- functions which he resigned in 1882 and 1883 (Denmark) – Knight of the Dannebrog in 1867, Wasa in 1869. Secretary of the International Relief Society Casualty armies of land and sea (section of Marseille) until 1871, he won the bronze medal during the war and was, like his father, consistory member of the Reformed Church of Marseille.

He married Nov. 4, 1853 Anne Justine Jackson (1834-1915) whom he had four children:

  • Alice Eugénie (1854-1900) married to Adrien Fraissinet  (1843-1918),
  • Anna Mathilde (1859-1886)
  • Charles Edouard (1866-1919) married to Gilberte Camille Rabaud (1862-> 1914)
  • Charles Gustave died in 12 years in 1876

He died December 31, 1899 with a gangrenous leg wound caused by diabetes. He is buried in St Peter in the family vault.
