William Francis (Frank) GRANT was born on 03 Apr 1884. He died on 24 Sep 1964 in New South Wales, Australia (cremated at Sutherland, interred at Woronora Cemetery).

Frank had a remarkable career in the Australian Army. He served in the Boer War at a very young age. During the First World War, he was with the Australian Light Horse at Gallipoli (without their horses), and participated in the famous victorious cavalry charge at Beersheba (actually mounted infantry who used their bayonets like swords) on 31 October 1917, the last horse mounted charge in history.
Sometime in early 1919, Frank had a liaison with Angelina Georgina Phillips (born 12 October 1890 at Dorrigo, died 25 August 1983 at Camperdown NSW). There is no record of a marriage, however, they had one son, Albert Keith Phillips, born 12 December 1919.
He married Marion Ida (Mainie) ROGAN, daughter of Thomas ROGAN and Louisa FOWLER on 03 Dec 1921 in Arncliffe, New South Wales, Australia. She was born on 24 Apr 1899 in Albion Park, New South Wales, Australia.William Francis GRANT and Marion Ida ROGAN had the following children:
i. STANLEY BRUCE GRANT was born on 07 Mar 1926 in Arncliffe, New South Wales,Australia.
