Marie Judith GRANT was born 16 May 1939 at West Ryde, NSW, Australia. She married Albert William Gamble (Alby) in 1959.

Marie and Alby had 3 daughters, Sandy, Karen and Fiona.

After they married, Marie and Alby lived in one of the two units that Alby’s parents had built in Jasper Road in Balkham Hills where they lived for two years. In 1961 they purchased a  vacant building block at 1 Worthing Avenue in Castle Hill. Alby built the house when working as an estimator for a project builder during his spare time.

Karen, their second daughter and Fiona their youngest daughter were born during their years in Worthing Avenue, Castle Hill.

The family moved to Tamworth at the end of 1967, leasing their house in Castle Hill. They returned to Sydney 4 years later and in 1972 moved into their newly built home in Derriwong Lane, Round Corner, Dural NSW.
