Laura Jane GRANT (daughter of Charles Henry GRANT and Emma Catherine RICHARDSON) was born on 01 Apr 1840 in Marseilles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France. She married Albert HEDINGER on 06 Mar 1872 in Woolston, Hampshire, England. He was born about 1840 in Steinach, Saint-Gall, Switzerland.

Laura was one of WH Grant’s older sisters who wrote frequently to her brother who she called “Bill”. She was also in contact with Charlie Grant, his brother George and Emma (their brother Theohile son’s and daughter). Nellie Rogan née Grant was sent to live in Marseille with Laura Jane for a short time prior to the outbreak of WW1.

Laura’s daughter, Heather Elisa Laura Hedinger, also wrote to Nellie on behalf of Arthur Richardson, requesting she provide them with family details. Nellie named her only daughter Heather Edith Fealy née Rogan after Heather
