Henry HUMBERSTONE was a Publican. The Humberstones’ were in Aramac, Queensland when Elizabeth Emma Humberstone married Charles Henry Anthony Grant at Barcaldine on 16 November 1891 (Australian Marriage Index, Page 12425, Registration No.000056).   Elizabeth 35 and Charles was 21 years of age when they wed.

The Humberstones appear to have been on the wrong side of the law in several states (refer to The Age newspaper article, 11 August 1870 – A Decoy House), and it is likely that Elizabeth’s family name was disguised on the Grant family tree to distance the Grants from the Humberstones.
