Ann Frances “Fanny” GRANT (daughter of Charles Henry GRANT and Emma Catherine RICHARDSON) was born on 27 November 1842 in Marseilles,
Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France. She died in Marseilles in 1917.
She married Utrick ROPP on 23 January 1874 in Marseilles, Bouches-du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France. He was born on 26 December 1850 in Romanshorn, Saint-Gall, Switzerland. He died in 1885.
Ann Frances was know to the family as Fanny. A letter written by her sister Laura Jane Hedinger née Grant to WH Grant dated 11 February 1917 wrote of her death:
“….She died very suddenly, the cancer got into her blood causing a few days of great suffering, and then she became unconscious and died quite calmly, but it was all so quick and unexpected, tat I can hardly believe it even now.”
